How to improve reception on I-Phone 4/4s

The I-Phone 4/4s without a case can have poor reception. You will notice on the outside edge of the phone two small black lines, one on each side. These are insulators, that insulate the top half of the case from the bottom half.
If you hold the phone so your hand touches both halves of the case, you will mute the antenna. To improve your reception (bars), do one of the following:
1. hold the phone either by the upper half of the case, or the lower half, but not both.
2. Get the rubber protector case, this prevents your hand from shorting out the antenna.
